City Dog cantina not only has a great environment and fabulous food (shockingly the crab cakes are amazing). However, more importantly as always it comes down to the dedicated, knowledgeable and just overall best staff!! Kudos and keep it up Marques, Gabi, Yonis, Bobby, Kortney, Nicole, Claire, Leah and Bella.. in no particular order because in my mind they are all #1!! If you ever want to have a great day/night City Dog is the place to go
Great service, the restaurant looked awesome inside and it was clean, and I got 3 things: water, fish tacos and fries. The water: its water what did you expect? Two stars. Which I'm not saying is bad, but it's normal The fish tacos: they were fantastic! 5 stars! The fries: pretty good. 3 stars. Overall, if you're in Tampa and are a fan of Mexican food, come and check this place out!
Shrimp tacos were delicious! Perfect portion, flavor was on point, and staff was super courteous. I expected it to be a madhouse on Saturday night and they took care of all the customers wandering in and out, no problem. Only in town for 3 more days and I'm going back for seconds...and likely thirds by the time I leave.
Only have been here for lunch but it's close to my work and we'll worth the walk! I am absolutely addicted to the rolled tacos. All around best dish here in my option. The flavors mesh very well and great spice. Service for the most part is great, a little slow at times but this also has dive bar vibes. O and ask for the jungle juice! But fair warning it is strong and eat something before you drink it!
Hadn't been to City Dog in years, but wow, a great spot to watch NFL Sunday! After dying in the heat for 2 hours watching the Bucs game, my friends and I drifted into City Dog for sun relief + lunch. I ordered the house salad with chicken and my eyes almost jumped out of my head at the SIZE of this thing! It was HUGE! Like, the biggest plates ever! I liked the lime vinaigrette and the chicken was good. Everyone's portions were huge and everyone enjoyed their meals. I tried my friend's fries and they were great, and also another huge portion so there were lots to share.
